Mumbai, Sept
21: The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) is going to
launch its "broker plaza" for internet trading by
brokers who share a common infrastructure by the end of next
month, according to senior NSE sources. NSE proposes to start
roadshows from September 28 in Mumbai for the benefit of
prospective users, sources added.
The plaza, named DotEx Plaza, is
owned by DotEx International which is a joint venture between NSE,
IT Limited and i-flex Solutions. This will enable common trading
facility for multiple brokers and their clients who are registered
with DotEx Plaza.
The online product is already
there in the market and it is used mainly by individual brokers.
The opening of the plaza will give clients access to multiple
brokers who will trade via Internet.
The plaza is likely to start off
with registrations of brokers and their clients who will be
allotted user IDs. Live trading will commence by end October. The
cost of running the plaza will be shared by the brokers.
