NSE to conduct roadshows for broker plaza

Mumbai, Sept 21: The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) is going to launch its "broker plaza" for internet trading by brokers who share a common infrastructure by the end of next month, according to senior NSE sources. NSE proposes to start roadshows from September 28 in Mumbai for the benefit of prospective users, sources added.

The plaza, named DotEx Plaza, is owned by DotEx International which is a joint venture between NSE, IT Limited and i-flex Solutions. This will enable common trading facility for multiple brokers and their clients who are registered with DotEx Plaza.

The online product is already there in the market and it is used mainly by individual brokers. The opening of the plaza will give clients access to multiple brokers who will trade via Internet.

The plaza is likely to start off with registrations of brokers and their clients who will be allotted user IDs. Live trading will commence by end October. The cost of running the plaza will be shared by the brokers.
