What benefits can I as a Broker expect through participation in DotEx Plaza?
DotEx Plaza enables you to start your e-business with world-class technology while continuing to focus on your core business. It helps you boost your market presence to retain your existing customers and acquire new ones.
Specific benefits of the DotEx Plaza solution include improved risk management and remote, secure client administration.

As a Broker what are the benefits I will be offering my customers by signing up with DotEx Plaza?
Your customers will immediately be able to access a variety of financial information and tools, along with unmatched trading convenience.
In future, your customers will also be able to complete their entire transaction online through their preferred Depository Participant and Bank.

If I am a broker wishing to participate in DotEx Plaza, whom do I contact?
You can contact us at DotEx by sending an email to sales@dotexplaza.com. Alternatively, you can send us a FAX at (022)826 8855.

As a broker, what hardware and software investments do I need to make?
You need not invest in any special hardware or software. To perform the client administration and risk management activities, as well as Online trading you need a standard PC with an internet connection.
The minimum configuration for the machine is

  • Windows 98 / NT WS or NT Server.
  • IE 4.01 or later and Internet connectivity.

We are a broking firm, with no physical presence in Mumbai. Can we participate in DotEx Plaza?
Yes, you certainly can. Several brokers like you have already signed up with us.

UNREGISTERED INVESTOR FAQ

What are the hardware and software requirements to Trade Online at DotEx Plaza?
To perform your Day-to-Day Trading activities, you just need a standard PC with Internet connectivity.

I do not currently have any relationship with a broker. How can I trade online at DotEx Plaza?
You can sign up with any of the brokers participating at DotEx Plaza. Follow some simple procedures and commence online trading. Click here for a list of participating brokers at DotEx Plaza. You need to obtain a D-TAN and contact one of the brokers. The broker will respond to your request and guide you through the registration formalities.

My broker's name is not listed as a participating member at DotEx Plaza. What should I do?
Call your Broker today and ask him to contact us at sales@dotexplaza.com.

At what time of day can I place orders?
You can place your orders round the clock, at your convenience.

I currently trade with two Brokers. Will I need to register twice?
No. If you are registered with DotEx Plaza, you simply use the same D-TAN to trade through any of the Brokers and to also view Orders/Trades.

What is D-TAN?
D-TAN is the account number you need to trade online at DotEx Plaza through a participating broker. It is like a User ID. Once you are registered and authorized by the broker, you will use the D-TAN and a password to log on to the system. As a first step towards your registration for online trading, you need to click the Get D-TAN link on http://www.dotexplaza.com and obtain a unique D-TAN.

What types of orders can I place?
You can place Buy and Sell Orders with various options such as Good For Day, Good Till Cancel and Good Till Date, round the clock. Orders placed when the Exchange is closed will be queued and routed to the Exchange when it opens for the next trading session. An integrated order status screen lets you track the status of each order.

How long does it take for my order to be executed?
Our connectivity to the Exchange enables direct update on the Exchange systems. Orders placed when the Exchange is closed will be queued and routed to the Exchange when it opens for the next trading session.

When will I know the status of my order?
The current status of your Order is available Online. When executed, the DotEx Plaza can immediately show related Trade details to you. You can also choose to receive Trade confirmations through E-mails.

Sometimes I am not able to modify my order. Why is this?
Some common reasons for these are:

  • Your Order has been executed and converted to a Trade.
  • The modified Order value is not within your intra day limit and the overall limit set by the Broker.
    Please contact your Broker to reset the limits.
  • The modified Order value is not within the Broker's intra day limit and the overall limit.

How can I get my exposure limits to be increased?
Contact your Broker to enhance your limits.

I am an NRI. Can I trade online at DotEx Plaza?
Yes, you can register yourself with any participating broker and start trading on the DotEx Plaza.
